Score = 90 × 1 − 30 × 0.3333 = 80 out of 150.
On average, a blind guess among four options is worth 0 marks, so it does not pay. After you rule out two options, a guess is worth 0.33. Medha AI mocks show how many marks you lost to wrong answers.

What is the APPSC Group 2 exam pattern?
Prelims has 150 questions in 150 minutes for 150 marks. Mains Paper I has 150 questions in 150 minutes for 150 marks. Mains Paper II has 150 questions in 150 minutes for 150 marks. Sections: Prelims, History, Geography, Indian Society, Current Affairs and Mental Ability; Mains Paper I, AP History and Indian Constitution; Mains Paper II, Economy and Science, Technology & Environment.
Is there negative marking in APPSC Group 2?
Yes. Each right answer gets +1 and each wrong answer −0.33. Skipped questions get 0. 90 right and 30 wrong out of 150 gives 80.
How long is the APPSC Group 2 exam?
Prelims is 150 minutes, about 1 minutes a question. Mains Paper I is 150 minutes, about 1 minutes a question. Mains Paper II is 150 minutes, about 1 minutes a question.
