3.1.2 Draft National Land Utilisation Policy 2013: land utilisation zones and goals

The draft National Land Utilisation Policy (2013) proposed dividing land into broad Land Utilisation Zones, each with protected, regulated, reserved and guided-development areas, so that fertile farmland and ecologically sensitive land are not lost to unplanned conversion; land being a State subject, it asked States to make their own policies.
