Paper I · 3 History of India & AP · 3.5.13 Modern Telugu literature
3.5.13.1 Grammar and lexicography: Andhra Shabda Chintamani to C.P. Brown
Telugu grammar runs from Sanskrit-medium rules ascribed to Nannaya, through Ketana's first Telugu-medium grammar, to Chinnaya Suri's Bala Vyakaranamu; in the 19th century C.P. Brown's dictionaries and editions modernised the study of Telugu, and Gidugu's movement brought spoken Telugu into writing.
