9.1.6 MoHUA's Pilot on Formulation of Local Area Plan and Town Planning Scheme (AMRUT, July 2018)

In July 2018 MoHUA launched, under AMRUT, a ₹50 crore pilot to prepare one Local Area Plan (to redevelop brownfield areas) and one Town Planning Scheme (to guide greenfield expansion) in each of 25 cities, and to train planners to repeat the exercise.
