9.1.2 MRTP Act Sections 33A–33C (2025): declaration, consultation and deemed sanction of a local area plan

A 2025 amendment gave the local area plan its own place in the MRTP Act: s.2(14A) defines it, s.33A says who may prepare one and where, s.33B sets the declaration, survey and consultation steps, and s.33C requires State decision within three months, failing which the draft is deemed sanctioned.
