3.4.5.9 GST in operation: rate slabs, compensation, e-way bill and the 2025 rationalisation

GST ran on four main slabs (5, 12, 18, 28%) from 2017; the 56th GST Council (3 September 2025) cut it to two main slabs, 5% and 18%, plus 40% for a few luxury and sin goods, effective 22 September 2025.
