14.4.4 MLRC Sections 148–170 and 247–259: record of rights, mutation, land records, land revenue liability, appeals and revision
Chapter X of the MLRC requires a record of rights for every village (s.148, the source of the 7/12 extract), makes every acquisition of rights reportable (s.149) and entered in the register of mutations (s.150), and presumes entries correct (s.157); later sections fix liability for land revenue and the State's priority (ss.168–170), and Chapter XIII provides appeals (s.247), revision (s.257) and review (s.258).
